OxiWear was selected for the second cohort of the leAD Sports & Health Tech accelerator to be held from August to December 2021 in Lake Nona, Florida. The first United States sponsored cohort featured six companies and was hosted in 2020. This year, 495 companies applied for the fall cohort and six were chosen. Since its inception in 2016, the leAD Sports & Health tech program has supported 30 startups overall.

The five-month, intensive development program offers access to Lake Nona’s amenities, including world-class medical and athletic training facilities, the headquarters of the United States Tennis Association (USTA), and the Lake Nona Sports Performance Center. In addition, cohort companies connect with program partners to increase corporate visibility and are provided with backend and front-end program engineering support, a dedicated accelerator program space, seed funding, and team housing.

"The leAD accelerator is a five-month program designed to support innovation and healthtech companies in pre-launch product development and testing phases. We are thrilled to be chosen as a part of the second cohort for this program and look forward to working with the leAD accelerator team.”
